Private Frederick George Heslop

Born on 21 November 1873 in Montreal, Quebec - next of kin listed as Mr. R.B. Heslop, Montreal, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as officer clerk, single, no current military service, previously served in the MacDonald College Canadian Officers' Training Corps, Church of England, height of 5 feet 8.2 inches, chest of 34.8 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 16 March 1915 (number 410976) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 16 July 1915 - wounded on 15 or 19 September 1916 - transferred to the 1st Brigade, Canadian Garrison Artillery, CEF, as an acting-bombardier (gunner) on 30 November 1917.
