Private Malcolm Grant

Born on 18 May 1887 in Marsham, Quebec - son of Mrs. James Grant, Dunford Lake, Quebec - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Dunford Lake, Quebec, single, Church of England, trade as farmer, no current or previous military service, height of 5 feet 3.5 inches, chest of 36 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair.


Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 10 December 1917 (number 4020090) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
