Sergeant Alfred Peter Gilchrist

Born on 20 October 1880 in London, England - husband of Elizbeth Mary Gilchrist, Eastend, Saskatchewan - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Eastend, Saskatchewan, trade as rancher, married, currently a member of the Light Horse, previously served with the Royal Engineers, Church of England, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 38 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, fair hair.

Joined the 209th Battalion, CEF, in Regina, Saskatchewan, on 5 April 1916 (number 252796) - taken on the strength of the 28th Battalion, CEF, on 5 September 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 or 22 September 1918 - wounded on 3 or 4 November 1918 - invalided to England on 23 November 1918.
