Private Walter Gill

Born on 14 June 1888 in Guildford, Surrey, England - brother of Frederick W. Gill, Fingal, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as brother, trade as farmer, single, no current military service, previously served with the 25th Elgin Regiment (one year), Church of England, height of 5 feet 6.75 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair.

Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 8 June 1916 (number 190344) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 8 June or 21 August 1916 - wounded on 16 or 18 October 1916 - invalided to England on 20 October 1916.
