Private Edgar Labrie

Born on 14 January 1894 in Gloucester, Ontario - son of Mrs. E. Labrie, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother; single; Roman Catholic; trade as harness maker; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; black hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 22 January 1918 (number 3320408) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 9 or 10 August 1918 - killed in action on 29 September 1918 - buried in Bourlon Wood Cemetery (grave II.B.13), France.
