Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 6 March 1915 (number A10953) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 17 July 1915 - struck off the strength of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in 1918 - [then?] - joined the 4th Battalion, Canadian Garrison Regiment, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, as a lieutenant on 12 October 1918.
