Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 21 July 1915 (number 410275) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 17 or 19 November 1916 - invalided to England on 21 November 1916 - served with reserve units - joined the Corps of Military Staff Clerks, CEF, in Ottawa, on 15 July 1919.
