Private John Flemming

Born on 18 March 1894 in Ireland - brother of Mary Flemming, Hamilton, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Stittsville, Ontario, single, Methodist, trade as farmer, height of 5 feet 7 inches, chest of 40 inches fully expanded, medium dark complexion, grey eyes, brown hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 14 January 1918 (number 3320187) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 17 or 18 August 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.

Died on 16 January 1952 - buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario.
