Private Frederic Fenton

Born on 11 July 1870 in Birkenhead, England - husband of Margaret Fenton, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as pressman, married, no current military service, previously served three years in the Governor General's Foot Guards, four years in the 43rd Regiment, six years in The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, and one year in the Grenadiers, Church of England, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, ruddy complexion, blue eyes, grey hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 26 April 1915 (number 410269) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 14 August 1916.
