Private Treffley Stephen Dupras

Born on 1 or 26 March 1897 in Cornwall, Ontario - son of Mrs. Peter Lilly Dupras, Cornwall, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as workman, single, currently a member of the 59th Regiment (one year), no previous military service, Roman Catholic, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as mother, trade as labourer, currently a member of the St. Lawrence Canals' Patrol, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded.

Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, in Cornwall, Ontario, on 4 March 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 22 June 1915 (number 410732) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 8 June 1916 - joined the 75th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, in Cornwall, Ontario, as a driver on 23 July 1916 (number 345838) - taken on the strength of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery on 26 June 1917.
