Joined the 159th Battalion, CEF, in North Bay, Ontario, on 20 March 1916 (number 648275) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 June 1917 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 6 June 1919.
