Donald, St. Thomas, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as mother, trade as labourer, single, no current or previous military service, Methodist, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 36 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, grey eyes, black hair.
Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 3 February 1916 (number 189943) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 or 21 August 1916 - wounded on 6 or 12 March 1917 - invalided to England on 7 June 1917.
