Private James Arnold Dillane

Born on 30 January 1897 in Kemptville, Ontario - son of William and Mary Dillane, Kemptville, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student, single, no current or previous military service, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 7 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 23 November 1915 (number 3309) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - declared missing, presumed dead, on 10 August 1918 - name listed on the Vimy Memorial, France.
