Dean, RR #2 Shawville, Quebec - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother, single, Presbyterian, trade as carpenter, no current or previous military service, height of 5 feet 6.5 inches, chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded, fresh complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair.
Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 1 February 1918 (number 3320555) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 June 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
