Private Albert Davis

Born on 19 March 1892 in Strafford, London, England - brother of Fred Davis, Brockville, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Gananoque West, Ontario, trade as farmer, single, no current military service, previously served three years in the 8th Field Artillery, Church of England, height of 5 feet 7.5 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Gananoque, Ontario, on 24 March 1916 (number 639976) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion to the Canadian Labour Pool on 20 March 1918.
