Joined the 13th Canadian Mounted Regiment as a captain in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on 23 November 1915 - reverted to temporary rank of lieutenant on 23 July 1917 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, as a lieutenant on 11 November 1917 - invalided sick to England on 13 May 1918 - appointed acting captain while officer commanding a company of the 3rd Canadian Command Depot, Seaford, on 15 December 1918 - promoted to temporary captain on 15 June 1919.
This is my great grandfather. You have quite the right information. I have a couple of pictures of him I could give you to add. His son, (my grandfather) was also Reginald David Davies, and was born in Johannesburg during the Boar War. My Father Alan David Davies is 81 now and lives in Coquitlam, BC. I am in Vancouver.
