Joined the 119th Battalion, CEF, in Blind River, Ontario, on 20 April 1916 (number 755152) - taken on the strength of the 58th Battalion, CEF, on 28 March 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 August 1918 - killed in action on 29 September 1918 - buried in Bourlon Wood Cemetery (grave II.C.7), France.
