Private William King Craighead

Born on 31 December 1890 in Glasgow, Scotland - son of Agnes Craighead, Glasgow, Scotland - at time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student, single, no current military service, previously served three years with the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders Territorials, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 6.5 inches, chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 5 April 1915 (number 411107) - taken on the strength of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 16 July 1915 - killed in action on 15 April 1916 - buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery (grave I.J.19), Belgium.
