Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 12 February 1915 (number 410256) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 12 or 13 November 1916 - invalided to England on 16 November 1916.
A Hamilton Crisford was the Director of Apprenticeship in British Columbia from 1935 to 1957. If it is the same person, he would have been 71 years old in his last year in that role.
