Private Charles James Cox

Born on 21 November 1895 in Grenfell, Saskatchewan - son of William Cox, Grenfell, Saskatchewan - at time of conscription in 1918: present address in Mervin, Saskatchewan, single, Presbyterian, trade as farm labourer, height of 5 feet 8.5 inches, chest of 36 inches fully expanded, ruddy complexion, grey eyes, black hair.

Conscripted into the Depot Battalion, 1st Saskatchewan Regiment in Regina, Saskatchewan, on 3 January 1918 (number 256594) - taken on the strength of the 28th Battalion, CEF, on 5 September 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 or 22 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
