Private Walter Cosby

Born on 1 July 1897 in Sussex, England - ward of Dr. Barnados Home, London, England - at time of enlistment in 1915: present address in RR #1 Cameron, Ontario, trade as farmer, single, no current or previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 4.5 inches, chest of 33 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Fenelon Falls, Ontario, on 11 December 1915 (number 725533) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - killed in action on 9 April 1917 - name listed on the Vimy Memorial, France.
