Private Charles McKenzie Cowie

Born on 2 November 1887 in Dundee, Scotland - son of Edwin D. Cowie, Westmount, Quebec - at time of enlistment in 1915: trade as steamfitter, single, no current military service, previously served eighteen months in Royal Navy Volunteers, Church of England, height of 5 feet 4.5 inches, chest of 34.25 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, brown eyes, light brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 17 May 1915 (number 411164) - taken on the strength of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 16 July 1915.

He died on 25 June 1923.
