Private William James Collins

Born on 23 August 1897 in Seattle, Washington - son of William J. Collins, Millbrook, Ontario - at time of enlistment in 1916: trade as bank clerk, single, no current military service, previously served one year with the Stretcher Section in 46th Regiment, Methodist, height of 5 feet 11 inches, chest of 36 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, hazel eyes, blonde hair.

Joined the 136th Battalion, CEF, in Millbrook, Ontario, on 29 January 1916 (number 805297) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 June 1917 - invalided sick to England on 26 August 1917 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 22 June 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
