Private Patrick Conlan

Born on 22 November 1879 in Armagh, Ireland - son of Margaret McNally, Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts - at time of enlistment in 1915: trade as labourer, single, no current military service, previously served eight years with 18th Royal Irish Regiment, Church of England, height of 5 feet 7.5 inches, chest of 40 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, fair hair.

(Alias: James McNally)

Joined the 29th Battalion, CEF, (as Patrick Conlan) in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 16 November 1914 - [then what???] - joined the 97th Battalion, CEF, (as James McNally) on 9 December 1915 (number 700182) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 16 or 17 February 1917 - killed in action on 28 June 1917 - name listed on the Vimy Memorial.
