Joined the 125th Canadian Infantry Battalion in Brantford, Ontario, on 22 March 1916 (number 773050) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in France on 27 or 28 March 1918 - killed in action on 22 April 1918 - buried in La Targette British Cemetery, France (grave I.J.25).
Briscoe went to Portora Royal School in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. His name is on Enniskillen War Memorial and is commemorated on window in Presbyterian Church Enniskillen.
