Joined the 135th Canadian Infantry Battalion in Glencoe, Ontario, on 6 March 1916 (number 803037) - taken on the strength of the 38th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France on 27 or 28 March 1918 - wounded on 10 August 1918 - invalided to England on 12 September 1918.
